I love my sister very much. Now most siblings would fight among themselves when they were young right? But not my sister and I. We are one year apart and we were and still are each other’s best friend. Our mother used to tell us that she was so proud of us that we always treated each other so well. Even today, we share a lot of our stuff like her best food processor and my favorite dinner dress, though both of us have our own families.
Good thing her family and mine understand the relationship we have. Her husband did not mind at all when I borrowed the food processor. Mine broke down just as I was preparing food for some guests that were coming over that night. I made a emergency call to my sister and she rushed over with the food processor. And she even stayed on to help me with the cooking. Yeah, she is that nice and I am so glad that I have her as my sister.
My best friend and I are fulfilling our dream. We went to culinary school together. When we graduated, we decided that we would like to start our own catering business. Our families helped us with funding some of the initial expenses, but we were able to secure a business loan for most of our start-up expenses. We found a good location, and we have started to purchase our catering supplies. We decided to offer an eclectic assortment of dishes on our catering menu. Some dishes will have a European flair while other may have a Far Eastern flair. We intend to do many experiments before we put a dish on the menu. We are going to promote our business using the internet and social media. We also intend to offer new customers a discount as an incentive. When the time is right, we may take our business to a wedding trade fair to do some marketing there. We are going to work really hard on our business.
Too bad juice maker reviews don’t say that there is an alternative way to juicing wheatgrass. And this doesn’t involve anything that runs on electricity. Its a simple kitchen tool but because of technology and the fast-paced world we all live in, most of us have forgotten its existence the mortar and pestle. I wanted to try the wheatgrass juice everyone is raving about but I had one problem I couldn’t afford a juicer, manual or electric, so I had to find an alternative way to juice. I was going over some juicing-related sites when I came across this article about using mortar and pestle to extract juice from the wheatgrass. I had some hesitations but I did try it eventually. It wasnt hard but its not that easy either. First you will need to clean your fresh wheatgrass by washing them in clean water. Then, pound them using your mortar and pestle until juice comes out. Now, using a clean cloth (a muslin cloth will do), strain the juice together with the leaves to squeeze juice out. Continue doing this (pounding and grinding and straining) until you get all the juice out. Be sure to consume this immediately to get the most out of the juice.
In 2011 Weber introduced what may be the most dramatic change to the Genesis line of gas grills since their inception in 1986. While Weber gas grills have continuously evolved over the past twenty five years through the inclusion of insect guards, better gas regulators, improved materials of construction and tweaking of the Flavorizer bars the basic configuration of the Genesis grills has remained constant.
However in 2011 Weber made a significant redesign and changed the configuration of the three burner tubes. Historically the burner tubes ran from right to left on the Genesis grills. In 2011 the burner tubes were relocated and now run from the front of the grill to the back. While this change will seem trivial to many it was a significant change for those who are serious grillers.
The first benefit of this change was that the burner control knobs had to be relocated to the front of the grill from the side. This allows the space on the right hand side of the grill to now serve as a work table. This type of real estate is valuable on a grill. The second benefit of this change is that it is now much easier to turnoff cook indirectly by turning off any one of the three burners. Indirect cooking on the Genesis was challenging previously as the location of the warming basket and warming tray meant that your only option to grill indirect was to turn off the front burner.
More real estate and greater grilling flexibility were two get results from the relocation of the burner tubes in the Weber Genesis gas grills. It is nice to see the continued evolution of this line of Weber gas grills.
